Confidentiality

The JOSHUA Foundation does not rent, sell, or exchange mailing lists. All information regarding the identity of those who have contacted us is kept confidential.

Our web servers record the IP address of each visitor to this site. This IP address tells us from which domain you visited, and not your email address or other private/personal information. At times, we may use the recorded IP information to help diagnose problems with our servers, assist in the effective management of this site, and gather broad demographic information regarding from which countries and domains our visitors are contacting us. We also maintain information providing insight as to how visitors navigate within our site.

Contacting Visitors

From time to time we may gather information to contact you. This is collected from the information you voluntarily leave when: 1) requesting information from us; 2) using the guestbook features; 3) or making contributions. In contacting you, The JOSHUA Foundation may send you information regarding our programmatic efforts domestically and abroad. We may also use demographic information (zip code, gender, age, etc.) voluntarily left by you to help us further develop the website and services provided and enhance our constituent care. Should you desire no contact and/or no use of your demographic information you may use the "opt out" feature. In doing this, you will not receive future communication form The JOSHUA Foundation (see the opt-out feature below).

In some cases our site uses securely encrypted contribution response forms for visitors who choose to use these forms to provide information, request information, and make donations. We collect your willingly submitted contact information (such as your email address), unique identifiers (in some cases, a JOSHUA Foundation donor account number), and financial information (such as a credit card type, number, and expiration date). Contact information from these response forms is used to process donations, provide receipts and other information about The JOSHUA Foundation to our constituent. The visitor's contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary in order to resolve customer service issues or questions. Users may readily opt-out of receiving future communications; see the "opt-out" and "modifying your information" sections below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for donations pledged. Unique identifiers (such as a JOSHUA Foundation account number) may be collected from website visitors to assist in matching current donation information with donor history in our record systems. Such information is strictly kept confidential.

Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact information (such as their email address) as well as a variety of demographic and practical questions. We may use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about The JOSHUA Foundation. The user's contact information may also be used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the "opt-out" and "modifying your information" sections below.

The JOSHUA Foundation affirms an excellence without excuse policy. Our Father has charged with the mission of caring for the poor and needy. Therefore, we make a firm promise to be good stewards with all that our Father endows us with including donations and contributions from you. Realizing our level of responsibility, we will always strive to carry out our excellence without excuse policy throughout our leadership, management, fund-raising efforts, advertising and promotions.
